Juneau's Neighborhood Associations provide a direct and continuing means of citizen participation in local government decisions about neighborhoods through the use of neighborhood associations recognized as advisory to the municipal government. These associations are intended to improve the ability of local government to elicit opinions and recommendations, to assess the priorities of residents, property owners, and businesses and to formulate its basis for decisions regarding community development programs, and crime prevention programs, including neighborhood watch programs, and other issues. The links below provide additional information such as: who to contact in your neighborhood if you would like to become involved in a registered neighborhood association, how to register a new neighborhood association, and what the CBJ Code says about neighborhood associations. Anyone wishing additional assistance should contact the Municipal Clerk's Office at 586-5278 or send an email to City_Clerk@ci.juneau.ak.us. |
