Summer Information

The Water Utility will begin flushing the distribution system on August 4, 2008.

Flushing will start in the vicinity of the Juneau Douglas High School and working towards the Hospital. After that work is accomplished, they will then proceed to Douglas and begin flushing the Douglas water distribution system. Once the Douglas system is flushed, they will be flushing from the Hospital and proceeding towards the Mendenhall Valley. They will eventually be ending the flushing work in the area of Cohen Drive.

This work is expected to take up to two weeks to complete.

If your water appears stirred up, and/or discolored, please wait until the Water Utility workers have left your neighborhood and then run your cold water, preferably the faucet in the bath tub, to help clear the lines.
